The future of Zim music is bright: Hillzy and ShaSha’s hot collab

By Tatenda Marwodzi

In MisRed’s own words “the future of Zim music is bright and safe,” songbirds Hillzy and ShaSha have released their trendy new music video Goodbye outing Zim on the map.

Hillzy has been working hard over the past 3 years to make a name for himself realising some very successful hits Muroora and TV Room. And his growth and consistency really show in the new track.

“Hillzy is that one bottle of wine from Zimbabwe that keeps getting better and better with time,” commented one fan.

ShaSha on the other hand elevated the song to international standards. Her vocals are refined, smooth and upbeat- think Ela Mai with a bit of Halsey. Lovers of RnB and pop will appreciate the collab.

“Talk about the creativity of the video. Two people in two different places literally, creating one masterpiece,” said another fan.

The video is very minimalistic but creative. Hillzy’s scenes were shot on a scenic Victorian Estate possibly somewhere in Capetown. ShaSha’s were very modestly shot in a room with a bookshelf in the background with another scene shot on a plain field.

The two never appear in the same scene which blends in well with the theme of the song “Goodbye” which talks about two lovers breaking up.

Goodbye is currently trending on number 4 on YouTube and has been receiving positive reviews from music lovers.
