
Twelve more people who had been infected by Covid-19 have fully recovered, Zimbabwe’s health ministry has said. The recoveries bring to 46 the total number of people who have healed since the first case was recorded three months ago.

Of the recoveries, eleven were reported in Masvingo province while one in Mashonaland East province. The majority of the southern African nation’s cases are from returnees from worst hit nations in the region and beyond, with very few locally-transmitted cases so far registered.
“Five cases tested positive for Covid-19 today (Monday). These are all returnees from South Africa and are all isolated,” the ministry said in its daily update,” the ministry said in its daily update released last night.
To date the total number of confirmed cases is 287, recovered 46, active cases 237 and four deaths, since the onset of the outbreak on 20 March 2020. Health and Child Care Minister Obadiah Moyo.
