Zimbabwe has recorded 76 new cases of Covid-19, bringing the country’s tally to 132, an official said.“Zimbabw
e’s #Covid19 positive cases have now spiked to 132. The 76 new cases have been recorded in the Beitbridge, Masvingo and Harare,” Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Nick Mangwana said in a tweet today.
“All new cases except one have been registered among returnees from mainly South Africa and Botswana. Only one case is a local transmission.”
Zimbabwe is currently in level 2 national lockdown for an indefinite period to slow the spread of Covid-19.
The majority of the country’s Covid-19 cases are from nationals returning home from other countries. There has been very few locally transmitted cases.
