Former Miss South Africa and current Miss Universe, Zozibini Tunzi, will be joining the judging panel at this year’s Miss South Africa pageant.
The news was revealed by the official organisers, “We are excited to announce that our reigning Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi will be returning home to join the judging panel for this year’s pageant,” read the press statement.

South Africans are ecstatic over the return of their queen who will be traveling back home despite the Covid-19 pandemic. Zozi moved to New York City last year in December after winning Miss Universe.”What an honour to be on the other side of the table,” said a very grateful and excited Zozi who will be flying to Capetown for the event.

Zozi’s win at the 2019 pageant was a shock because she did not look like your typical model. She came from a small town in the Eastern Cape, had short afro hair and wore very minimal makeup, as she still does. But her confidence in her own skin and her intelligence made it easy for the public to fall in love with her.

Zozi’s wish right now is to help another women realise her dreams just as she did, “What an honour to be a part of a panel that will help make a young woman’s dreams come true,” she said.

The Miss South Africa 2020 finale will be held in Capetown on the 24th of October. Award-winning actress Kim Engelbrecht and Entrepreneur Leandie Du Randt will be joining Zozi on the judging panel.
The event will air on DStv’s MNet and Mzansi Magic channels at 5pm.
