UK, Australia sends best wishes as India mark 73rd Republic Day

The British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson has sent best wishes to the people of India and to all British Indians as the country celebrated its 73rd Republic Day on every 26th January.

Johnson who send his congratulatory message through his official social platform on Tuesday, said United Kingdom and India have been tied by bonds over the decades.

According to him, “I want to send my best wishes from the UK to the people of India and to all British Indians on India’s Republic Day.

“The UK and India are tied by bonds that span over decades, through generation and across some of the greatest challenges we’ve faced”, he said.

Also, Australian Prime Minister, Scott Morrison extended his very best wishes to his good friend Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and all Indian people on Republic Day.

According to his social platform on Tuesday, “Australia and India enjoy a wonderful friendship. While we celebrate Australia Day today, I extend my very best wishes to my good friend Modi and all Indians on Republic Day”, he said.

Today, India is celebrating its 73rd Republic Day, even though India gained independence from Britain in 1947, it wasn’t until January 26, 1950, that India had its own constitution and became a sovereign state.

Since then, India has grown and evolved substantially and is now the most populous democracy in the world in advancing with rapid speed and is making a global impact in areas like information technology, manufacturing, medicine, cinema, and music.
